Game #1: New Haven at Stonehill (October 18, 2012): This game is on national television, so therefore it has to be a game to watch since it CAN be watched. New Haven is coming off a pretty good season last year making it to the National Quarterfinals and finishing the season undefeated in the NE-10. Bernard Risco will be back on the defensive side of the ball for the Chargers that will look to be making another run at the title. Stonehill returns their starting QB, RB, top 2 WR, and a mess of talent on defense. Right now, they look like a sleeper to make a run in the conference. Oh well, now everyone knows who my sleeper pick is.
Game #2: Merrimack at New Haven (September 1, 2012): I think this game has huge implications as an opening game and a conference opener for both teams.
New Haven has experienced talent on both sides of the ball and are the favorites once again to take the NE-10 title. Merrimack has a stud in WR Isaiah Voegeli. The question will be the new QB under center and if the defense can stop some people in the 4th quarter because Merrimack was outscored by 12 points in the 4th quarter for the entire season.
Game #3: Bentley at Southern Connecticut State (November 3, 2012): This game is an attribute of how balanced the NE-10 is. This game features two teams that will be fighting to make the championship weekend and will be battling for one of those top seeds, so they can host. Expect game that comes down to the wire because they teams are both evenly matched.
Game #4: Northeast-10 Championship Weekend (November 10, 2012): This weekend is the conference championship game where it will feature a rematch of an earlier conference game. Usually this gives the opponent an advantage because it’s harder to beat the same team twice. How many times has this happened in the FBS? Well, the Northest-10 will have some drama this season as this is the first season the Championship game is being put in to place. Will the favorite get dethroned? Will there be Cinderella type run like in basketball or will all the top seeds advance? These questions make the Championship weekend a must watch event.
2012 Predictions:
