Redskin Injury Update: Neild Out for 2012 Season

ASHBURN – Well, it was inevitable. Per Zac Boyer of The Free Lance Star, defensive tackle Chris Neild became the first Redskin added to Injured Reserve on Wednesday afternoon. Neild tor his ACL during training camp this past Monday and will miss the entire 2012 season unfortunately.

“It’s always disappointing when there’s a season-ending injury for any player on your football team,” said Shanahan according to Boyer’s article.

“You hate it for them. You hate it for your team.”

Trent Williams and Roy Helu have missed time this week due to injuries. Williams hurt the top of his foot in last week’s game in Buffalo, while Helu has been hampered with Achilles tendonitis. No time-table has been given for either player.
