The AFC West definitely has changed over the offseason. The star QB went from San Diego’s Philp Rivers, to number one free agent Peyton Manning. So who is going to win the west this year?
In first place I have the Denver Broncos. They already have an amazing defense and now with Peyton Manning their offense has dramatically improved. The Broncos have a good WR core and with Peyton Manning as their QB that makes them better. Last season Demaryius Thomas had over 500 receiving yards and had 4 TDs which isn’t bad considering he had Tim Tebow as his QB. Denver’s defense is very strong as well. With linebackers Von Miller and Ellis Dumerville their run defense will be unstoppable. It should be close division, but I’ve got Denver taking it.
The San Diego Chargers will come in 2nd in my opinion. Even though they lost WR Vincent Jacksonthey did sign ex-saint Robert Mechem and they still have TE Antonio Gates so there pass game is still pretty good. Ryan Mattews will be out for a few games but should be back by week 3. Chargers 2nd in the west.
I’ll have to give 3rd to the Kansas City Chiefs. Jamaal Charles is healthy this year so that will definitely help their offense. With Tomba Hali on defense, it will be close, but I’ll give third to Kansas City over Oakland.
So I’ll have the Raiders take 4th. This division is so close but I’m not a big Carson Palmer fan, he is past his prime. Other then Darren McFadden who is pretty injury prone.
