Wow what a game! Another turnover heavy game leads to another fourth quarter comeback by Vick and the offense. This game was close throughout as the Eagles strike first with a Lesean McCoy touchdown, but was answered right back by Ravens fullback Vonta Leach. This is when the game started to get chippy, Coleman a play earlier Reyes stripping the ball from receiver Anquain Boldons hands even though the play was over. Boldons didn’t like this very much and pushed Coleman creating a whole big scrum in the end zone.
The Ravens would strike again as Jacoby Jones caught a fade beating Asomugha.
The defense got off to a slow start. The second half made up for it having a interception by middle linebacker Demeco Ryans, who is my MVP of the team do far this season as he posted 7 tackles most for losses, a sack, and a interception. If the defense can play like this all year I believe this team has a great shot at the Super Bowl. So it is the fourth quarter and Vick put the Eagles within 3 when he threw a touchdown to a wide open Jeremy Maclin.
Yet this score came at a price as Center Jason Kelce was seriously injures and will miss the remainder of the season and well LT King Dunlap strained his hamstring and could miss the game this week. What a way though to finish off a game as backup center Dallas Reynolds and LT Demetress Bell came in to save the day. Vick took the Eagles 80 yards but on second and goal got nailed by Haloti Ngata, Vick threw the Fotball but it was ruled a fumble and the Ravens recovered. So me as well as most Eagles fans were cheering, he threw the football and then said well that’s the game. But no the replacement refs got it right and on the next play Vick scored on a QB draw to win it.
The reason I’m not nervous about all these turnovers is first we are 2-0, and second our team last year would have lost both these games, but this team has fight and won’t quit. Vick again had over 300 yards passing and Brent Celek and Desean Jackson were incredible both posting a 100 yard receiving game.
The Eagles showdown with the 2-0 Cardinals next week vs their past starting QB Kevin Kolb lets see if DRC can get a pick from him.
